Why We Do What We Do

seejesus.jpg

Living Waters Ministries believes that every saint has a purpose.
We are first called to be Christian, Christ like, every where, every day, in every way.(1 Peter 1:15-16)
Secondly, we are called to use our God given gifts and abilities for the ministry, edification and comfort of the body. (Ephesians 4:10-16, 1 Cor. 12:26-28)
At LWM we offer many avenues where your gifts and abilities may be used for service in the kingdom of God.

Men's Ministries

Our Men's Ministries offers prayer, friendship and fellowship  with activities on a bimonthly (odd month)  bases.

God has a much ordained order for the man.  He is not simply the "head of the house" and what he says goes. He is the head, the origin . the source from which all things flow for his marriage and his family.  If he wants love in his home, he must be the source of love.  If he wants peace in his home, he must be a source of peace and so on.   God has an order for man and when he is in divine alignment with God, he will impact his marriage, his children, his church, his community.  We offer  The Art of Marriage  Seminar to individual couples, and annually to the whole church.    We have observed  the men of our church applying these bibilcal principles in their hearts and lives and  God doing wonderful things in their marriages and families.    God designed marriage and we encourage our couples to live in the fullest that God has for him.

Bro. Kenny Gano is our Men's Ministries Care Giver.  Please feel free to check out our What's Happening page to view the upcoming events for the Men's Ministries

MAKE HIS PRAISE GLORIOUS

Why do we clap our hands?
"Oh clap your hands all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph."
Psalms 47:1

Why do we lift our hands?
"Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord."
Psalms 137:2 , see also  Psalms 63:4, 1 Timothy 2:8

Why do we praise Him in the dance?
"Praise Him with the timbrel and dance..."
Psalms 150:4
"On that day be glad and dance for joy..."
Luke 6:23  see also - Psalms 149:3
God dwells where He is "celebrated" not "tolerated".

Why do we use flags and banners in an expression of praise and worship?

Psalm 20:5 We will sing for joy over your victory, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners. May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.

In the Old Testament, God commands Moses to instruct the children of Israel to camp by their own "standard" to signify their tribe. (Num. 2:2) There were 12 different flags or banners for the 12 tribes. (Num. 1:52, 2:2-3, 10, 18, 25; 10:14, 18, 22, 25)

The most common definition of a flag is "a cloth, usually bearing emblems or figures and employed as a symbol or signal". The term "banner" in the Bible means a flag, banner, or standard. It refers to what we commonly call a flag. It can mean to gleam from afar, to raise a beacon, to be conspicuous, to flaunt or raise a flag. The most commonly used Hebrew word translated as "banner" is nec: it means a "flag, flagstaff, signal token, banner, pole, sign, or standard".

Exodus 17:15 says, "And Moses built an altar and called the name of it Jehovah-Nissi". Jehovah-Nissi means "the Lord my Banner". Jesus became a banner for us. John 12:32 says, "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me". At the crucifixion Jesus became the banner, and the cross became the pole. Below you will find a few references for flags.

Psalm 20:5 "We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions."

Psalm 60:4 "Thou hast given a banner to them that fear Thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth."

Song 2:4 "He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love."

Isaiah 59:19 "So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him."

Song 6:4 "O my love, you are as beautiful as Tirzah, lovely as Jerusalem, as awesome as an army with banners!"

Flags are used in praise, worship, intercession, and spiritual warfare. There is no more heart-stirring sight than an altar full of believers waving their flags in praise and worship to the Lord.

Presbytery

Pastor Robin and Sis. Kelli Kirchner experienced Prophetic Presbytery by  Rev.   Eldon Wilson, Rev. Phil Cappuccio, Rev. Elias Koteita at the Door Fellowship in Williamsport, PA.   The Presbytery was a life changing event for Pastors and also our church.

We have been  blessed as God has begun to  fulfill their presbytery.  March 2, 2007 after much fasting and prayer, teaching of the Word, Living Waters Ministries  leadership experienced their first presbytery.

We are so thankful that God set proper order and understanding of the function of the prophetic in the church.  We won't settle for flashpan prophesy that forsakes the principles of God's word.   We are excited as our leadership has begun to have their presbytery fulfilled.  A presbytery takes a life time to fulfill.
