I'm Thankful For You!
|

By Joanna Fuchs
Thanksgiving is the appointed time
For focusing on the good in our lives.
In each of our days we can find small blessings
But to often we overlook them,
Choosing instead to spend our time paying attention to our problems
We give our energy to those who cause us trouble instead of those who bring peace.
Starting now, lets be on the lookout for the bits of pleasure in every hour,
And appreciate the people who bring love and light to everyone
Who is blessed to know them. You are one of those people.
On Thanksgiving I am thankful for you.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Isn't It Strange?

Isn't It Strange... How a $20 dollar bill seems like such a large amount when you donate it to Church, But such a small amount when you go shopping?
Isn't It Strange... How 2 hours seem so long when you're at church, And how short they seem when you're watching a good movie?
Isn't It Strange... That you can't find a word to say when you're praying, But you have no trouble thinking what to talk about with a friend?
Isn't It Strange... How difficult and boring it is to read one chapter Of the Bible, But ow easy it is to read 100 pages of a popular novel.
Isn't It Strange... How we need 2-3 weeks to include a church event in Our agenda,But we can adjust our schedule for other events at the last minute.
Isn't It Strange... How difficult it is to learn a fact about God to Share it with others; But how easy it is to learn, understand, Extend and repeat gossip?
Isn't It Strange... How we believe everything that magazines and Newspapers say, But we question the words in the Bible?
Isn't It Strange... How we send jokes in e-mails and they are forwarded Right away, But when we are going to send messages about God, we think about it twice before we share it with others?
Isn't It Strange?

It's For Your Own Good!

" Herald and preach the Word! Keep your sense of urgency [stand by, be at hand and ready], whether the opportunity seems to be favorable or unfavorable. [Whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it is welcome or unwelcome, you as preacher of the Word are to show people in what way their lives are wrong.] And convince them, rebuking and correcting, warning and urging and encouraging them, being unflagging and inexhaustible in patience and teaching. " 2 Timothy 4:2 Amplified
"The people I love, I call to account—prod and correct and guide so that they'll live at their best. Up on your feet, then! About face! Run after God!" Revelation 3:19 The Message
